Youth in Science and Technology (YST) Mini-Summit 2026

The Youth Innovation Foundation hosted the Youth in Science and Technology (YST) Mini-Summit 2026 on 28th February 2026 at Ardhi University in Dar es Salaam under the theme "Innovate, Elevate." The event brought together over 150 young innovators, professionals, industry experts, and stakeholders to explore the role of science and technology in driving innovation, employment, and national development.

The summit provided a platform for youth to showcase innovative projects, exchange ideas, and connect with mentors and industry leaders. Young innovators presented a variety of technology-driven solutions aimed at addressing real-world challenges and creating opportunities for sustainable development.

A key highlight of the event was the official launch of the Youth Innovation Foundation, rebranded from SERIS Foundation. The launch reflects the organization's renewed commitment to supporting youth through innovation programs, mentorship, startup incubation, and platforms that connect innovators with industry professionals and investors.

The event also featured a panel discussion on the role of science and technology in employment and development, as well as an inspirational keynote session encouraging youth to embrace innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. The summit concluded with certificate awards recognizing outstanding innovators and networking sessions that inspired participants to continue developing impactful solutions for the community.
